BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — It is never too early to plan ahead, and if you are an older adult - or have an older relative - it can be helpful to think about future care.
Ashlee Mueller, director of Friendship Village , visited KARE 11 News at Noon to share more about senior living facilities in Minnesota.
Senior living communities have long wait lists, according to Mueller. By 2034, older adults are expected to outnumber children.
Mueller advised to put your name on a wait list soon if possible, as many facilities have multi-year wait periods. Having conversations with your family about elderly care can be emotional, but Mueller advised working through those questions so that everyone is happy with the outcome.
