CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears recently hosted an All-State ceremony at Soldier Field to honor the top flag football players from across Illinois. Two players from Northern Illinois received recognition for their exceptional performances.

Addison Hulburt from Hononegah High School earned All-State honors after leading the Lady Indians through an impressive season.

Jiharia Young from Harlem High School was also recognized following the Lady Huskies' strong playoff push.

"It means a lot because I started from nowhere," Young said. "I came up and became a better person and a better player."

"It's really special because not a lot of people get it," Hulburt said. "I'm really grateful that I was one of 50 girls to be able to receive this award."

Congratulations to the local All-State athletes,
