Two brothers, Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, have been formally charged with the murder of South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes following their extradition from Eswatini.
The pair were returned to South Africa after losing a lengthy legal battle to block their extradition. They now face charges relating to the 2023 shooting of AKA and his close friend, celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, who were gunned down outside a restaurant in Durban.
The Ndimande brothers have also been charged with Motsoane’s murder, as well as attempted murder and unlawful possession of a firearm, among other offences. They are expected to appear in court alongside five other suspects already in custody.
