SEVILLE, Spain — Spain’s La Pepa Films is re-teaming with Mediaset España’s film arm Telecinco Cinema and top Spanish paybox Movistar Plus+ on “Operación Camarón 2,” the sequel to Spanish hit comedy “Operación Camarón” (“Undercover Wedding Crashers”).

As with the first installment, Buena Vista International will release the film in Spanish theaters.

“The original creative and acting team returns,” producer Álvaro Alonso, La Pepa co-founder, told Variety at the Seville European Film Festival.

Under director Carlos Therón, from a screenplay by Manuel Burque and Josep Gatell, the follow-up flips the franchise’s undercover conceit from Cádiz’s trap scene to Galicia’s summer fiesta circuit.
