BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket is set to blast off from Florida’s Space Coast for a nighttime satellite mission on Thursday.
The Viasat-3 Flight 2 mission — for Viasat, a global technology company — is scheduled to take off from 10:04 p.m. to 10:48 p.m. Thursday, according to ULA.
The launch was originally set for Wednesday, Nov. 5, but it was pushed a day ahead and then scrubbed to this week at latest check.
The launch is expected to more than double the bandwidth capacity of Viasat’s entire existing satellite fleet, according to ULA .
