Tight ends coach Tim Kelly will be the new offensive coordinator moving forward, interim head coach Mike Kafka announced before Wednesday's practice as the Giants begin preparations for the Packers.

Kafka, who was the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator before Brian Daboll was relieved of his duties , will continue to call plays.

Kelly has twice been an offensive coordinator in his 11-year NFL coaching career and is in his second season as the Giants' tight ends coach.

Prior to the Giants, Kelly spent two seasons with the Tennessee Titans, the first as the team's passing game coordinator and then the offensive coordinator. Prior to arriving in Tennessee, he spent eight seasons with the Houston Texans, including three seasons as their offensive coordinator.
