PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Uber on Wednesday launched a new feature meant to help keep teen riders safe.

The teen account feature that launched in 2023 for teens aged 13 through 17 will now allow the teen or their parent to book a trip to request a woman driver or reserve a ride with a woman in advance.

This announcement comes on the heels of a similar successful feature rollout. In July, Uber launched it’s Women Preferences feature that allows women riders to be matched with women drivers upon request.
