TUSKEGEE, Ala. (WTVM) - The man accused of kidnapping and murdering 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard, Ibraheem Yazeed, was scheduled to appear in a Macon County courtroom for a status hearing on Wednesday.

According to Macon County Circuit Clerk’s Office officials, the hearing was postponed. Macon County Officials say the defense requested the hearing be rescheduled. This is the second time a status hearing for Yazeed has been rescheduled.

Blanchard was attending Southern Union and was kidnapped from an Auburn Chevron Station in 2019. Her body was found months later in Macon County. A new status hearing date has not yet been scheduled.
