Colorful northern lights dazzled Lovelanders on Tuesday night and were expected to make another appearance Wednesday.
Waves of bright pink, red, purple and green painted the sky due to severe geomagnetic storms.
Another burst of energy from the sun, known as a coronal mass ejection, was expected to reach Earth midday Wednesday, the Denver Post reported, and remain active throughout the night, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Space Weather Prediction Center, based in Boulder. Experts say the best way to see them is to get away from the city lights, however, residents of Northern Colorado have reported seeing the aurora borealis lights from all over the area.
