Despite the tutelage from his idol, Pittsburgh Steelers’ rookie quarterback Will Howard has yet to taste the gridiron glory. But that could be changing soon. Head coach Mike Tomlin has made some major moves after the Week 10 loss against the Los Angeles Chargers. And one of the biggest roster shake-ups is Howard returning to the active roster.

“We have activated QB Will Howard to the Active Roster from the Reserve/Injured List,” shared the Steelers’ official X handle.

Howard has been dealing with a hand injury since August which had kept him out of the preseason as well. While he began the regular season on the IR, his return to the practice field on October 22 sparked hopes. The Steelers opened his 21-day practice window, and for a while it looked like he could even be ready
