Did you see it last night? Well, if you missed it, you're in luck! Another shot at viewing the aurora borealis or the Northern Lights will be possible again Wednesday night.

A rare, severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch (G4) has been issued for Wednesday, November 12.

So, while it's not super common to catch the light show as far down south as Louisiana, it is possible tonight! You may see a faint red/pink glow as charged particles from the sun collide with gases in the Earth's upper atmosphere.

Timing is a bit tricky, as the strongest pulse of the solar energy may arrive before sunset. If it hits too early, we might only get the tail end of the geomagnetic storm after dark. However, if it lingers long enough, this solar storm could drive the aurora even farther s
