SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —
Spartanburg County School District Six released a modified school calendar for the 2026-27 school year to provide "additional breaks to help students recharge."
The district posted a message on Facebook about the new calendar.
It said the new calendar not only gives students breaks, it also provides important staff development days, giving teachers time to collaborate and strengthen instruction for students.

Cynthia Robinson with Spartanburg County School District Six said the calendar changes apply to all seven Spartanburg School Districts.
