The Mega Millions jackpot is nearing $1 billion!

No one matched all six numbers in the Tuesday, Nov. 11 drawing so the jackpot will climb to an estimated $965 million with a cash option of $445.3 million, according to the Mega Millions website .

Friday's jackpot will be the eighth largest Mega Millions ever and the 14th largest US lottery jackpot (see lists below).

The jackpot was last won when a lottery player in Virginia won a $348 million Mega Millions jackpot on June 27.
