He may have portrayed a villain in the “Harry Potter” franchise, but actor Tom Felton was welcomed back to the Wizarding World with open arms Tuesday night. Years after last playing the dastardly Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” film series, Felton reprised the role for the first time since 2011 when he hit the stage in “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
Tuesday’s performance at the Lyric Theatre in New York City was Felton’s first in what will ultimately be a six-month run of shows set to end in May 2026. Video of Felton’s return was shared on the production’s social media accounts.
The clip shows Felton receiving a huge reaction from the audience forcing him to wait more than 30 seconds to deliver his first line of dialogue.
