ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Orange County couple who were seen in a TikTok video using racially-charged language against a solar utility worker earlier this summer is now facing formal charges.

The state attorney’s office announced Wednesday that Steven Edwin Wiley and Cheryl Ann Pyle are being charged with assault evidencing prejudice.

The charges stem from an incident in the Hunter’s Creek area of Orange County on July 29.

Solar utility worker Antavis Johnson posted the video, which was taken while he was canvassing a neighborhood on TikTok.

In the video, a couple can be seen coming out of the home toward Johnson, using various expletives and racially-charged language.
