More than 50 suspects from New Bedford to Pittsfield, and points in between, have been arrested throughout the state as part of Operation Firewall, a State Police investigation targeting the production and sharing of child sex abuse material and child enticement, the agency said.
At an afternoon news conference, State Police Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Tucker said the 56 the people arrested ranged in age from 18 to 75, and included one woman.
Over a three-day period last week, State Police and local authorities made the arrests and seized 229 electronic devices pursuant to warrants, Tucker said.
