TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Police are investigating a homicide after a man was declared dead at a McDonald's on the westside of the city.
The incident occurred late Monday night at the McDonald's near Silverbell Road and Grant Road, turning the location into a crime scene.
“It’s shocking and surprising,” Nathaniel Quintero, a westside resident, said.
Quintero, who lives nearby, expressed his disbelief at the situation.
“I live in a nice complex there off of Ironwood Hill (Drive) and nobody bothers nothing,” Quintero said.
On Tuesday, police maintained a strong presence at the scene. Investigators were seen moving in and out of the fast-food restaurant, which had a shattered glass window. The drive-through lanes were blocked off with police tape.
