WEST LAFAYETTE − Purdue basketball 's roster gets an upgrade ahead of Thursday's top 10 showdown at Alabama.

The Boilermakers are expected to have All-Big Ten forward Trey Kaufman-Renn for his first game of the regular season, he said on Wednesday.

"I plan on getting back to it," Kaufman-Renn said.

Kaufman-Renn played in both of Purdue's exhibition contests. He suffered a minor hip injury during a Nov. 3 practice, a day ahead of the Boilers' season opener against Evansville.

He admitted having previous hip soreness from a prior game before the injury caused him to sit out. Kaufman-Renn returned to live practice on Tuesday.
