A Pontiac woman whose three children have been living in an apartment “in deplorable condition” is facing felony charges of second-degree child abuse, officials said.
Teriomas Tremice Johnson, 31, is in the Oakland County Jail, denied bond for the three child abuse charges — each punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responding to an apartment on South Francis Street last Friday for a possible break-in — determined to be unfounded — discovered the place littered with human and animal feces, trash and rotten food. The apartment has no working plumbing and clogged sinks, the sheriff’s office said, and it appears the children — a 12-year-old girl, a 9-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy — had been defecating in a cardboard box.
