Netflix is bringing Hollywood to New Jersey — and they’re looking for real soccer players to join the cast of its newest action-comedy, "Bad Day."
According to Netflix’s Tudum, Bad Day follows a single mom fighting to keep one small promise to her daughter on the worst day of her life.
Directed by Jake Szymanski (Jury Duty), the feature film is produced by Beau Bauman of Good One Productions, with Mark Moran serving as executive producer. The screenplay was written by Laura Solon, who is also an executive producer. Filming is officially underway in New Jersey.
Casting agency Grant Wilfley Casting is searching for real soccer players, ages 18 to 30, to appear in background scenes shot in both New Jersey and New York City.
Both union and non-union players are eligible, with rates starting at $181.50 and going up to $234 per day, depending on the role and shoot length.
Casting associate Jessica Wolff said submissions are open to residents of New York City, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Jersey City, Hoboken, and Newark.
