Toys ‘R’ Us, the beloved toy retailer that filed for bankruptcy in 2018 and closed more than 700 stores, is making a holiday comeback, opening more than 30 locations nationwide this Christmas season. And New York shoppers are in luck: Two of the newly opened stores are located in the Empire State.
“Following the tremendous success of our Toys ’R’ Us flagship stores, we’re thrilled to continue expanding through our partnership with Go! Retail Group,” Jamie Uitdenhowen, executive vice president of Toys ‘R’ Us at WHP Global, noted in a press release. “This next phase of growth brings the magic of Toys ‘R’ Us to even more communities across the country — just in time for the holidays — and delivers the joyful shopping experience that has made us a trusted destination for generations.”
