NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) - Three of four remaining officers charged in connection with a case that left man paralyzed in police custody rejected plea deals Wednesday and will head to trial instead.
Former New Haven Police Sergeant Betsy Segui pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and accepted the state’s offer of 60 days in jail, suspended, and a six-month conditional discharge. She was the supervisor at the detention center the night Cox was paralyzed in June 2022.
