Easton Area School District is working to construct a new high school , a $298 million project with plans in progress.
To help finance the construction, the district may seek a hefty grant through the statewide Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program .
At Tuesday’s school board meeting, Assistant Superintendent for District Operations and Services Josh Ziatyk outlined the district’s approach to applying for the grant The district would aim for $25 million, though the award could be less than requested depending on what the state approves.
CHA , the engineering firm working on the school’s construction, would apply for the grant on Easton’s behalf.
