With MLB free agency in full swing, the New York Yankees are once again in the mix for a big-time power play. After a frustrating end to 2025, the Yanks are expected to go heavy on offense, and the rumor mill’s churning around one name: Kyle Schwarber. The same guy who Dave Roberts snubbed over MVP race with Shohei Ohtani.

Per BetOnline, New York currently sits at +300 odds to land the Phillies’ slugger, trailing only the Cincinnati Reds at +250. MLB Network’s Jon Morosi even hinted that Schwarber could be one of the first marquee names off the board this offseason. And with the Yankees desperate to inject some thunder into their lineup, the fit makes too much sense.
