As a tiny bit of snow makes its debut around Minnesota, the Great Northern Winter Festival announces its return, celebrating the coldest season.

The festival, which has become a winter staple in the Twin Cities, unveiled details about its 2026 lineup on Wednesday, with a schedule largely centered around St. Anthony Main in Minneapolis from Jan. 28 to Feb. 1.

As ever, the festival celebrates winter, art, and climate-focused conversations through concerts, art installations, family activities, and panel discussions.

The 2026 festival grounds will stretch from the Riverplace Building, near the Stone Arch Bridge, through Father Hennepin Bluff Park. There will also be satellite events in St. Paul and other locations in Minneapolis.
