WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A light show courtesy of Mother Nature has been on display this week as far south as Florida.

A geomagnetic storm created spectacular displays of the aurora borealis, or the northern lights.

The beautiful colors were spotted across much of the U.S. and unusually far south.

They were visible in the North Country last night, between breaks of clouds, and should be tonight, as well.

You can take a look at the Space Weather Prediction Center’s Aurora Dashboard here .
