La Marque police are asking for the public’s help in locating a teen suspect following a deadly shooting Tuesday evening.

Officers were dispatched around 6:05 p.m. on Nov. 11 to a reported disturbance at a home in the 1200 block of Kirsten Street.

While police were en route, a woman was shot in the face at the residence.

She was transported by La Marque EMS but later died from her injuries.

Investigators have identified the suspect as Keith Ray Smith Jr., 18.

Officers initially believed Smith had barricaded himself inside the residence, but he was not at the scene when authorities arrived.

Police say he remains at large and is possibly armed and dangerous.
