Cristiano Ronaldo News: Soccer Star Confirms Final World Cup in 2026
Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed his legendary career is drawing to a close, saying he will likely retire in one to two years.
Ronaldo, 40, told CNN on Tuesday the 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will “definitely” be his last. He also affirmed his plans to retire “soon” and detailed a possible timeline.
“Let’s be honest, when I mean soon I mean probably one, two years,” Ronaldo told anchor Becky Anderson . “I’m enjoying the moment. But when I mean soon, it’s really soon, because I give everything for football. I’m in the game for the last 25 years, I did everything.”
