A Dalton, Georgia man has been found guilty of two counts of vehicular homicide in relation to a crash in December 2023.
The suspect, 32-year-old Rodolfo Rangel crashed a Toyota Tundra truck he was driving on Dawnville Road, according to a news release from Conasauga District Attorney Benjamin Kenemer.
During the crash, authorities say Rangel's brother and neighbor were in the truck with him, and he was driving over 86mph in a 50mph zone. They say he lost control of the truck and hit a utility pole.
The release says Rangel was ejected from the truck, but the two passengers remained inside. They both died as a result of their injuries, authorities explained.
