SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

A man was seriously injured Wednesday after he was stabbed, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said.

The stabbing happened along Watt Avenue north of Arcade Creek and south of Interstate 80, the sheriff's office said. The man was seriously bleeding before deputies applied a tourniquet to his arm, before he was taken to a hospital.

According to the sheriff's office said the suspected attacker is at large. It is unknown if the man and the person who attacked him knew each other.
