Before the game between AEK and VEF Riga for the Basketball Champions League , the signing of Greg Brown III was announced.
The 24-year-old American, who plays both forward positions, signed a contract with the Greeks until the end of the current season and is expected to replace Antonis Arms, who did not play at all against the Latvian team.
Brown previously played in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers for two seasons (2021–23) and the Dallas Mavericks (2023–24), averaging 3.8 points (61.6% free throws, 42.4% field goals, and 29.6% from three-point range) and 2.3 rebounds in 70 games. Last season, he played for the Calgary Surge in Canada.
