Warren Buffett reflected on his company's future, his philanthropic efforts, his roots in Nebraska and more in his annual Thanksgiving message to Berkshire Hathaway's shareholders.

The 95-year-old billionaire's eight-page letter was included in a news release revealing his decision to donate 2.7 million Class B shares of Berkshire Hathaway – worth about $1.35 billion , as of Nov. 12 – to four organizations: 1.5 million shares to The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation and 400,000 shares each to The Sherwood Foundation , The Howard G. Buffett Foundation and NoVo Foundation .
