LOUISVILLE, Ky. — We now know when the next three overnight closures are happening on the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge.

The closures are to ensure the bridge doesn't move while crews do repair work under the roadway, a spokesperson for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said.

The closures are part of a bigger project to fix and replace the expansion joints of the bridge deck, the KYTC spokesperson said. These joints allow a bridge deck to safely expand and contract with temperature changes.

Here are when the overnight closures are scheduled to happen:

8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, through 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15.

8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, through 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22.

8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, through 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.
