The Macon District Attorneys Office dropped charges against two Macon murder suspects last week, pointing fingers at the Bibb County Sheriff's Office over a lost interview recording.
According to court records, prosecutors filed a motion to drop charges against Myquavis Amadon Gaither and Jordan Shamone Young last Wednesday, who are accused of killing 22-year-old Tylik Young.
The shooting happened in the 1800 block of Third Street back in 2022.
In a motion, the District Attorneys Office says that investigator DeAndre Hall — who ran for sheriff in 2024 — conducted an interview with Jordan Young.
However, the interview was conducted on his phone.
