Gov. JB Pritzker, (D) Illinois, sat for an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday to discuss the government shutdown.
With the longest government shutdown in American history nearing its end, Democratic Gov.JB Pritzker weighed in on the eight Democrats who voted to reopen the government, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s role in leading the party through the shutdown.
“I'm disappointed with the eight democrats. I think that Chuck Schumer, I spoke with him as this was happening, and He voted against caving in, and was trying to convince those eight to stay the course. I know there are lots of reasons why people don't support Chuck Schumer or have been upset with Chuck Schummer. I'm not sure this is the one thing that people should focus on to put them over the edge about it,” Pritzker said.
