BOSTON —
A member of the Boston Fire Department was charged in court on Wednesday with numerous counts "involving repeated sexual abuse of a young female victim," according to the Suffolk County District Attorney.
James Corbett, 60, of Brockton, is accused of assaulting a female victim between May 2018 and September 2024, DA Kevin Hayden's office said.
A police report included in court documents indicates that the victim was interviewed by officers on Nov. 4. According to the report, she described a series of escalating incidents in graphic detail and that he allowed her to buy items with his Amazon account or sent her money on CashApp.
"This was basically him paying me, I guess," she told police, according to the report.
