You can’t script this kind of golf story, but Ryan Kaczor came pretty close.
As a veteran greenskeeper at Inverness Club, he’s one of the guys responsible for setting the stage each morning. He knows which pin locations are kind, which fight back, and which make you question why you didn’t take up a more relaxing hobby, like juggling chainsaws on a unicycle.
With his dad on the tee sheet one recent autumn afternoon, Kaczor decided to have a little fun.
“I will admit, I had a handful of pins that I tried to tuck and make difficult,” he said with a laugh. “I knew my family was coming, and I thought, let's give them the true Inverness experience.”
What happened next?
Let’s just say the universe has a wonderful sense of humor.
