Lil’Jordan Humphrey, who was elevated from the New York Giants practice squad for three games earlier this season, has been signed by the Denver Broncos to their 53-man roster.
In the three games Humphrey played for the Giants he caught four passes for 55 yards. All of those catches, and eight of his 10 targets, came in the first game he played. That was the Giants’ Week 6 upset victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Those three elevations meant that the Giants would have had to add him to the 53-man roster to activate him again.
Instead of doing that, the Giants signed veteran wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud to the practice squad and have activated him for the past two games.
