ATLANTA — It was a far less turbulent day at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Wednesday. Fewer flights were delayed and canceled compared to previous days of the Federal Aviation Administration's mandated flight reductions.
As of around 4 p.m., 68 flights were delayed and 77 flights were canceled at the airport, compared to a combined more than 300 cancelations and delays on Tuesday, and more than 450 cancelations alone on Sunday.
While things are improving at Hartsfield-Jackson, the FAA's mandated flight reductions are scheduled to go up to 8% Thursday and 10% Friday at major airports.
