A mother has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from the Philadelphia School District that was supposed to be used for therapeutic care for her children, according to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office.
During an investigation, it was discovered that Laurel Schullere, of Philadelphia, stole over $61,000 over the course of several years from the Philadelphia School District after she claimed that the money would be used by a company called Missing Pieces.

Investigators said that Missing Pieces was not an operational company but Schullere allegedly lied and told school officials that it would use the money to provide therapeutic care for her two children.
