Two Roberta Flack film projects are in the works, with the production company headed by Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts helping to spearhead both projects.
As Deadline reports, Roberts’ Rock’n Robin Productions recently secured Flack’s life rights, and they’re already planning a scripted biopic and a documentary project. Flack’s longtime managers, Suzanne Mina Koga and Joan Martin, are also involved in the two projects.
Flack died earlier this year at the age of 88 , after being diagnosed with ALS in 2022. She was best known for her massive hits, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” which earned her back-to-back Record of the Year wins at the Grammys in 1973 and 1974.
