Mike Kafka is taking it one step at a time.
That's all you can do in the first 48 hours of being named interim head coach. After the Giants relieved Brian Daboll of his duties on Monday, Kafka is preparing the Giants (2-8) for a visit from the Packers (5-3-1) on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
"This is a league of incredibly difficult situations, decisions," Kafka said before Wednesday's practice. "And I just have the utmost respect for Dabs and what he's done for me, not only as a friend but as a coach, giving me an opportunity here to be an offensive coordinator.
