Matt Painter believes he has put together a strong Class of 2026 for Purdue basketball .

Three players signed to be Boilermakers on Wednesday, the first of a weeklong stretch where college basketball players can sign with programs. That included the state's top-rated player in Mt. Vernon combo guard Luke Ertel .

He was one of a pair of top-60 players in the signing class , and another prospect who was only diminished due to an injury during the ever-important summer of junior season evaluation period. A steal in the recruiting process, if you will, for Painter and his staff.
