The swearing-in of Rep. Adelita Grijalva jump-started the effort to force President Donald Trump's administration to release investigative files on Jeffrey Epstein, teeing up a House floor vote that Republicans have sought to avoid.

Grijalva, D-Arizona, who was sworn into Congress Nov. 12 after weeks of delay, added her majority-making, 218th signature on a petition to release federal files on Epstein just minutes after she formally took office.
