South Windsor police have arrested a suspect who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry and watches in a smash-and-grab burglary at Hannoush Jewelers in April. They said DNA led them to the suspect, a 59-year-old Bloomfield man.

He and others are accused of smashing a window at the Buckland Road business to get inside, then smashing the jewelry cases and stealing around $65,000 worth of rings, watches and necklaces.

Police said the Bloomfield man left DNA behind at the scene.

Hartford police took the suspect into custody and he was transferred to South Windsor police, processed on a $150,000 bond, then transferred to the custody of the North Haven Police Department, where additional warrants
