Srinagar, Nov 12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday highlighted the government’s efforts to facilitate film production and revive Jammu and Kashmir’s historic bond with the movie industry, urging filmmakers to balance entertainment with social responsibility.
“Cinema is one of the most powerful tools for shaping social narratives, fostering cultural unity, and promoting the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” he said.
Calling cinema a powerful medium of storytelling, the LG appealed to filmmakers to capture the resilience and survival of people during the long fight against terrorism. “I urge the film fraternity to depict how people lived and survived during difficult times,” he added.
