Gold Coast police officer Jade Henderson is used to dealing with challenging situations, but nothing could have prepared her for the barrage of abuse she has copped after breaking the Guinness World Record for the most pull-ups in an hour.

"I wasn't expecting to receive half the amount of attention I have received already, so when I saw that a lot of it was negative comments accusing me of being on steroids or cheating, it's quite disheartening to see that," she said.

The 32-year-old set a new world record on August 22 this year with 733 pull-ups, beating the previous record of 725 set in 2016.

The senior constable had originally aimed for the 24-hour pull-up record but set a smaller goal after tearing her biceps.
