The Toronto Blue Jays fell just short of being crowned World Series champions. Now, some key players from their run are free agents.
Bo Bichette is the biggest name the Blue Jays could lose to free agency. However, Max Scherzer is another player the Blue Jays could struggle replacing. There is no real way to replicate the experience he brought to the clubhouse. He may not have had his best season, but he did end up pitching well in the postseason.
In three postseason starts, Scherzer went 14 1/3 innings and allowed six earned runs. He took the ball in Game 7 of the World Series and gave the Blue Jays 4 1/3 innings, allowing just one run. The future Hall of Famer has noted his desire to keep playing, and FanSided's Spencer Lazary predicted he would sign with the Tigers on a one-year, $1
