MANCHESTER, Conn. — A lawsuit was filed last week against Uber Eats over a driver who fatally hit a Manchester man during a delivery, according to the Morgan & Morgan law firm company Wednesday.
A car hit Jaime Cordero, 45, of Manchester , in the area of Buckland Hills Drive on the night of March 24, according to the town's police department. Cordero died of his injuries.
Manchester police said the 18-year-old driver stayed at the scene.
Morgan & Morgan, on behalf of Cordero's family, said the driver was performing a delivery for Uber Eats and was allegedly driving above the speed limit. They also said that the car was "allegedly unregistered, uninsured and had a non-functioning fog light, all in violation of Connecticut law."
The complaint says that the crash was the "direct result"
