Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates on Wednesday announced the indictment of officer Robert A. Parks, who was captured on video driving his patrol car directly at a man in Northwest Baltimore, striking him and continuing the pursuit through a residential area.

Parks, a five-year veteran of the Baltimore Police Department, faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless driving, and misconduct in office. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to 65 years in prison. There is no maximum penalty for misconduct in office.
